We bought the full set and are absolutely loving them. The ones with the linked app have been our favourite so far. The added atmosphere of the voice-over, music and needing to place the code into the app are a nice touch. Overall, these games manage to walk the middle line of not being overly obvious, but also not being ridiculously obscure, or only taking half the advertised time. We had great success with the Houdini room at a party last month, where the 11-year-olds finished with just 7 minutes to spare. Looking forward to continuing to work through the library.

TL;DR: Amazing. Beautiful, thoughtfully crafted puzzles. And amazing value. This is incredibly easy to recommend to *anyone*: teacher, parent, or any adult looking for some new escape rooms for their game group. 10 out of 5 stars for exceeding my expectations.

A huge THANK YOU to Escape Room Geeks for making these! I ran Houdini’s Secret Room for a class of grade 7-9 students and they absolutely *loved* it! Many students and asked to do another one, and I had several parents emailing me to say how much fun their kiddo had. 😁

Escape Room Geeks struck the perfect balance of puzzle difficulty for this age group, and the art is absolutely beautiful.

The hint system of cutting pieces off a card was excellent, too; the limited number of hints gave just enough pressure for students to not jump to asking for hints without giving their best effort first—effectively overcoming students’ learned helplessness of always running to adults for help. (And, of course, for students who found limited hints stressful, I just ignored that mechanic and left their hint card intact. 😉)

I completed Project Frankenstein solo in preparation of running it for grade 9-12 students next week, and it was similarly excellent—great puzzles, beautiful visuals, *and* they thoughtfully planned the game for older participants so it can be completed completely independently, with a built in answer-checking and hint system that doesn’t even need adult support or a cell phone app—but, depending on the group, maybe staple the full walkthrough/solutions guide separately from the hints. 😉

In the next few weeks, I’m also going to be running L’île Wooka Booga with a grade 3-4 French Immersion class (whoot whoot for different language versions!), and another round of Houdini’s Secret Room for my family because it was so much fun. I can’t wait!

This is such a great resource for classroom teamwork activities *and* family games night. Easily the best “bang for my buck” I’ve had from any classroom resource I’ve ever purchased.

And for parents: it was easily worth the full price just to run games for my kiddos and their friends/cousins, let alone classroom use. The 12-16 y.o. one was fun for me as an adult, too, so I imagine the 16+ ones will be even better for adult play.

I bought the 4 pack tween escape room set for my daughters 12th birthday.

We only used two, the houdini and cicrcus ones. They were both a hit! Kida ages ranged from 8-14. Although, challenging in a good way, they all really enjoyed figuring it out. I added some props to help set the mood. I also locked each individual challenge so they had to solve the previous challenge tp get to the next one. The app was so fun and easy to use too! Thank you for making escape room affordable and easy for us!
